This life has taught and continues to teach us that whatever can go wrong will and it will happen when you are least prepared. The transmission goes out in the car, the refrigerator just went out right after you stocked it full of food and the a/c goes out right in the middle of summer when it is 100 degrees out. Murphy (murphys law) seems to live in our spare bedroom, unwelcomed of course. Proper preparation can eliminate unnecessary stress and financial strain.
When summer hits, perhaps thee best thing you can do is to have a home portable air conditioner as a back up plan in case your central air conditioner stops working. There is nothing worse than having a household full of sweating wife and kids. If you wait until your a/c goes out then you will likely not have the money to get it fixed. You will then be forced to put everything on credit and murphy's vicious cyle continues to grow and take over your life.
